Jenny’s House is an ocean front 3200 square foot home with open concept kitchen/dining/great room, a main floor master suite, an upstairs loft area with two guest rooms with a unique jack-and-jill bathroom, and large walk out basement designed for entertaining. The exterior of the home has a modern west coast feel, featuring beautiful cedar timber details, natural stained cedar shake siding, K2 stone accents and James Hardie Siding.

We started another custom built Green home in Nanaimo.concrete pour This 5000 sq. ft home was design by  Greg Bianchini, owner of GNB Builders and will feature a master bedroom and 4 additional bedrooms, an exercise room, rec room and much more ! BC Hydro Power Smart feature

GNB Builders was feature in the “Buildings We Love” section of the BC Hydro newsletter, in an article titled “Chemainus home delivers on long list of must-haves”. This custom built Green home built in 2015 by GNB Builders was highlighted due to numerous unique characteristics such as Energy Star for new homes standard, EnerGuide rating of 85, Built Green Platinum rating, rainwater reservoir, “endless pool” and HEPA air filtration system.

Creekside - Lock UpProgress at our Nanoose Creekside Custom Home is progressing, with lock up completed this month. This custom home’s design started with a tutor influence, changing to a transitional design as our clients spent more time in determining their own tastes and preferences.  Greg Bianchini, owner of GNB Builders redesigned the rooflines to provide a more modern flare. Window design was key in accomplishing this new look. Project completion is set Spring 2014 – to watch the transformation of this project, visit our Facebook Page for updates.

GNB Builders has completed another custom home. This Westcoast Modern inspired build located in Nanoose Bay is about 4000 square feet, features a large master ensuite with walk in closet, ensuite bath with large two person walk in shower, yoga room and exercise room. The other corner of the house features a guest wing, with two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette. Slanted Roof lines and transom windows and open floor plan add to this space. Custom Nanoose Log HouseMay 2013
GNB Builders has completed an extensive renovation and addition to an oceanfront log two story home in Nanoose Bay. Check out the completed photos in our photo gallery. GNB Builders transformed this home from an older log home into a New custom home. Hydronic Infloor heat was installed by breaking out the existing concrete slab and installing tubes and re-pouring concrete, new drywall (70 %), new insulation, rebuilding a portion of the home, adding a new room onto the kitchen as well as expanding the master bedroom (and the list goes on and on). The home was registered in Natural Resource Canada’s Energy Retrofit program and its Energy Efficiency increased by 13 providing the clients with money back from the many rebates available. GNB Builders attends the International Builders Show each year to keep informed of new products and technologies. The show is so big that in three days there is no way to see and learn about it all. The Canadian Home Builders Association CHBAphoto4of Vancouver Island has announced the winners for the 2012 CARE Awards (Construction Achievements and Renovations of Excellence), with GNB Builders being awarded 1 Gold Care Award and 5 Silver Care Awards. The Gold Award was awarded for Best Custom Millwork under 2500 sq ft.
